Exploring Psilocybin And Spirituality

Watch an enlightening Beckley Talk hosted by Beckley Retreats Co-Founder Alexandra Pallas. This webinar features Hunt Priest, founder of Ligare, an organization dedicated to exploring the interaction of religion and psychedelics and Ayize Jama-Everett, a renowned author and therapist known for his insightful work on psychology and spirituality.

In this Beckley Talk, Hunt shares his transformative experiences with psychedelics and their impact on his spiritual practice as an Episcopal priest. Hunt discusses the implications of the Psychedelic Renaissance on religious practices and spiritual guidance, aiming to destigmatize the conversation around psychedelics and religion.

Ayize Jama-Everett brings a complementary perspective with a background in therapeutic practices and his experiences as a writer of speculative fiction exploring themes of race, power, and spirituality. Together, they discuss how psychedelics can enrich spiritual understanding and personal growth across diverse cultural and religious landscapes.

This talk is particularly relevant for those curious about the spiritual dimensions of psychedelics, and anyone seeking to deepen their faith or spiritual practice through safe psychedelic experiences.

Hunt Priest, founder of Ligare, innovatively blends Christianity with psychedelic science to deepen spiritual practices. An experienced Episcopal priest, Hunt’s transformative experiences with psychedelics at Johns Hopkins inspired him to establish Ligare to help religious leaders integrate these experiences into their spiritual work. Ligare, meaning “to bind” in Latin, aims to merge deep spiritual insights with established religious practices, enhancing both personal and communal spiritual depth.

Through seminars, workshops, and educational materials, Hunt provides the tools and knowledge necessary to safely and effectively explore the intersections of psychedelics and spirituality, making Ligare a cornerstone for innovative spiritual development.
